McDonald’s should always have the same standards because of it’s proportions, it’s fame and all that but this one is simply the best McDonald’s not only in Cork but in Ireland. Food always tasty, chips always fresh and even the way the onions and vegetables are chopped it’s done in a way that no other branch does in Ireland. Sometimes I cross the city but I always try to go to Douglas McDonald’s
I ordered a meal deal with an extra burger in McDonalds at Douglas, Cork on Feb 2024 and it’s disappointing when a fast-food chain like McDonald’s fails to deliver on their promise of quality service. Not only did they provide me with an incomplete order (missing extra burger), but their lack of apology or effort to rectify the situation by refunding my money is simply unacceptable. On top of that the delay I spoke with not only accepted that the order was complete but has the courage to argue with the paying customer. It’s important for businesses to take responsibility for their mistakes and make things right for their customers. Now April 2024, still waiting for the promised “refund”. No more meals to be ordered within a “business” that doesn’t act as a real business. My dissatisfaction with McDonald’s is completely justified, and they should strive to improve their customer service to avoid similar incidents in the future.
We use this McDonald’s alot. It’s easy to get parking and seating. The drive through is usually fast. The staff are nice. But like most McDonald’s, check your order before leaving the counter. They also tent to forget napkins, salt etc in the bag. This is frustrating if you went through the drive through and have already parked, it’s a bit of a walk back to the restaurant. But overall a great restaurant! 👍
It was last Sunday around 8 pm, and the car pickup service was quite busy. Despite the staff being efficient in taking orders, we had to wait in the parking lot for our order to be brought to us. With the stress of cars and the small parking lot intersecting with the order pickup exit, we didn’t check our order immediately upon receiving it (our mistake for not doing so). A staff member came out to guide us on how to exit, leaving us with little choice. Obviously, there were issues. We were charged for a drink we didn’t order, which was included in the bag, and we ordered garlic cheese bites, paid for them, but they weren’t included. The fries seemed like they had been sitting for quite some time.
Would be lovely if you clarified what the “24h 7 days a week” stands for. We only got greeted by a guy singaling us to go away through the door as I pointed at the sign at the door that states so. 🙂
