Red Pepper Chinese Restaurant

Red Pepper is hands down THE BEST Chinese food in Lawrence. They also have some of the most genuine and kind customer service to boot. They have an approachable menu with massive portions, so you get what you pay for. Their menu even branches into some delicious authentic recipes. All and all this place is a must!

This was our first time here, and we were mightily impressed. Our dishes were well prepared and delicious (generous portions too). There’s lots of variety on the menu plus traditional dishes. The dumplings were to die for. The hot and sour as good as I’ve ever had it before. We’ll definitely be back.

This is my number 1 favorite restaurant, everyone is so warm and cheerful to see me come in. I’ve been eating here almost daily for 5 years so good. No complaints only compliments fast fresh and delicious can’t beat them or their customer service.

I asked a best friend for his recommendation of a Chinese restaurant and he named this place. So off I go! First, it’s carryout or delivery only. No dine in at all. The place is a little grotty. Pretty apparent there haven’t been any sit down diners in awhile. Use the bathroom before you come. One stall is broken down and the other while functional isn’t what I would call clean. The food arrived hot and the service is very friendly. Plated the take out and its ok. The egg roll is delicious, full of chicken and fillings instead of the air inside an egg roll. I requested white meat with my general tsaos chicken and it was very flavorful but tough (like it had been under a heat lamp). The portion was very hefty. Hubby and I will have enough leftovers for 2 meals. All in all, a firm 3.5 on food. I’ve tried it and will try another Chinese restaurant before I go back.

Did not even want to try. Im impressed how come they have decent rating/reviews here. Nonsense!
