What do The Hangi Pit Coomera visitors reviews this place?
Hangi Pit is in the old truck stop cafe..There is only outside seating if dining there..There was ibis poo everywhere and about 4 ibis waiting for food..I got a hangi dinner..I didn’t like the fried bread(had better) so Ibis got a treat. The chicken was beautifully soft but the pork was hard so only ate the skin as was gelatinous and tasty..The veges were tasty..My friend had fish and chips which she said were delicious..we both had trifle which was nice.. They have a very good menu..As well as all the NZ goodies there is also fish and chips and burgers.. 7/10 from me
Friendly staff, fantastic delicious food and outstanding value. I bet the local New Zealanders appreciate the Mauri cuisine on offer. Store was very clean and I’m only sad that we found this place on our last day and not our first.
Table was absolutely disgusting, ketchup was all over the table and looked like blood. Other random things stuck to the table. Had to clean table with tissues. Food was cold, and somehow soggy! Chips that came with my *hamburger* tasted like fish. Holes in the roof, food all over the floor. Kitchen had an unpleasant odour. Rubbish all over this place, and dirt and other debris. A hole in the glass. And all the food was dripping with oil and other liquids, to the point the taste was fully overpowered. DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS TOU WANT FOOD POISONING.
Simply delicious & hearty comfort food at a great price. We are already thinking about when we should go back 😍
The hangi & fried bread was so tender & flavourful. Raw fish in coconut milk was fresh & vibrant. Potato fritters were crunchy outside & soft inside.

Mum over from NZ reckons the fish n chips are better than Gibbo’s in Whakatāne & Bobby’s in Tauranga! The fresh fish wrapped in golden, crisp batter and chips were delicious! The mussels & oysters on par with any fresh kaimoana back home! Well done whānau, tino reka rawa atu!
