The food was very tasty, reasonably priced, and in good quantity.
The restaurant was very popular with a quick turnover of customers.

I enjoyed it, but my wife couldn’t finish it because it was too spicy, and my 3-year-old son ate only rice because it was too spicy.
It was a huge portion, but we ate it all up silently and without complaint.
Be careful with children.
So glad that we did try this hidden gem. So much different to the taste of Indian food in NL (where we come from). So cheap. Good portion. Quick.
I can eat there every day I guess.
You can choose meals of choice (rice with one meat and two vegetables or rice with 3 meats dishes, etc). The place is small, but we didn’t face problems eating lunch there with 7 of us.
The meals are at least medium spicy. So not suitable for young children.

One of the last surviving Rice & Threes in Manchester.
Hasn’t changed for decades and I hope it doesn’t for decades to come.
Apart from unavoidable price hikes I can eat the same meal I had there when I first visited in 1987.

Brilliant experience hidden gem. Food was amazing and tasty and some of the best Indian I have had. Even better than a few expensive Indian resturants I have visited too.
Great for the price.
Set expectations if you visit. It is like visiting your grandparents and having dinner and sitting down amongst family. Very welcoming quick to help.
Will be going again.

Stumbled upon this place one night when I was craving for Indian food, when I turned the corner I was a bit shocked that the shop is hidden in a narrow dark side alley. Peeping in thru the window and found that it was almost full so I decided to give it a try. Took a few moment to understand the menu on the wall, the food they offered is fixed for the day and changes daily, you just pick 2-3 dish to go with rice or naan. They certainly don’t market it as a “decent” restaurant, the food is of good value though.
