Ukrainian Restaurant

This place is a gem if you’re in the mood for authentic Ukrainian food. It looks like the restaurant decor hasn’t changed since 1929. Anna the owner is 90 years young and the sweetest lady who works hard to prepare everything from scratch. It’s a great experience.
Delicious simple borscht and cabbage soup. The cabbage rolls and perogies are excellent. Prices are very reasonable. Call ahead if you’re taking out or if you want her to bake you a torte.

It feels like a minor miracle that such a gem of a restaurant exists. Oh, how we hope that there is a Ukrainian cook out there who can pick up the torch and keep this wonderful little place going for another generation or two. If you are seeking your mother’s or grandmother’s authentic Ukrainian staples (e.g. pork stew, cabbage rolls, borscht) look no further.

Literally the only true “mom & pop” (actually no pop, unless you drink Coke, Pepsi, etc 😉) restaurant that I know of in the Windsor area.

Hidden gem in Windsor that you must go and eat inside at least once to call yourself a true Windsorite.

Anna is one of the most kind hearted people out there and she makes amazing food! She makes food that reminds me of my grandparents which I consider priceless. I wish she stays open for another 60yrs. Thank you Anna ❤️

Incredible place. Anna is so cute and nice. Food is absolutely delicious and authentic, as well as coming in good time. The decorations are so traditional and make you feel like you’re at your lovely Ukrainian Grandmas 😇🎀. Definitely recommend.
