Ward’s

Food was below average, many people like Ward’s but I have never become a fan of their burgers. Staff was friendly, quick service and drink refills. Restaurant decor and bathrooms are dated.

Returning to Mississippi for the Christmas break, my family was worn out from a prior day of shopping and an entire present day of driving. Made it to Mississippi to see my 5 grandkids. Guess what?! MORE TIRED 😫. But now, we’re hungry, too. Like HUNGRY. But we’ve got mom too, so we can’t just go “anywhere.” So why not go somewhere that we can never go when back home because back home doesn’t have it. So WARD’S It was. And it was like being back at Southern Mississippi in the 80s. They’ve been here since 78. They were the NEW BURGER PLACE when I got to Hattiesburg. Now, they’re simply just the BEST. 🏆🎖. Hot fresh delicious food that’s still logically priced. When they really could charge a LOT more. But then again. Family doesn’t overcharge family.

First time eating fast food in 20 years – it didn’t make me sick, so I feel it was a win. Very nostalgic, but wasn’t the best.

A South Ms fast food hotspot. First and foremost they have their own rootbeer and for me its one of the best I’ve ever had. They have an abundance of food to order as well but they are home to the Big One. A chili cheese burger that’s carried the restaurant for years. It’s tasty although it can be quite greasy. If you have a cheat day for your diet, I’d recommend. I also highly recommend ordering the spicy fries as they are genuinely better overall and not spicy in the slightest.

My wife and I are from Laurel but now we live in Texas. Every time we visit it is a must that we stop by Ward’s for a Big One and Chilli cheese fry.
