Flares – York

I’ve been going to flares for three years now so I know the staff pretty well. Flares recently added a new addition to their team and this guy is just incredible. Pretty sure his name is Jamie? Anyway apart from excellent bar service, he’s really attentive to everyone there and makes sure that you have a great time. Also he’s a great person to approach if something happened. Anyway enough gushing, just came here to say that Flares made a great choice adding him to their team. I’ve seen a lot of their staff work and he is definitely one of the best.

Great place, awesome night so far, absolutely amazing staff!! And deals are amazing, definitely coming again!

Always have a great night at Flares. The door staff are friendly and I always feel safe going and the service is good. Would recommend!!

After a nice night we came to flares for a dance! We were having a good time until two of the four guys went to the toilet and one of the doormen came and kicked one of us out for performing lewd acts of a homosexual flavor in the toilets which
A. Didn’t happen (both guys have girlfriends and are highly professional people)
B. Is borderline abuse of power.

From my memories and observations the doorman – security was being very confrontational to anyone being different or dancing too wildly.

Ruined our evening if the club isn’t a safe space then I’ll be sure to spread the word and never return!

Great atmosphere and music! Best club in York. Chrissie was amazing, made our visit the best! Xx
