What do Forbidden City visitors reviews this place?
Unfortunately my mobile phone has been lost in this place, and there was totally no management ,I asked help from the “security guards” there, not only they didn’t help me. (Of course, except for one of them) one of the female guards started INSULTING, THREATENING and saying RACIST WORDS to my friends.,
really is there anybody who can respond for these terrible happenings at FORBIDDEN CITY ,
I’ve been in many music festivals till now and unfortunately it’s the first time that I witnessed something like that
When people pay their money and their time on your club , you’re responsible to make it secure,
Or you are only responsible for about 800 $ that my friends and I spent at your club?????
some good points are that it is a very spacious place with plenty of spots to sit, rest, and get away from the crowd. its not too hot or cold inside and the bathrooms are clean. the speakers sound good throughout the venue. the DJs are consistently amazing and they are a huge saving factor against the bad points.
first of all, security is rude. this is a pretty common problem in toronto venues and i will mention it for here. my friend was trying to get a picture with the headlining DJs when security got angry and told him ‘you already took a picture’ when he didnt. even if he did, he waited in line like everyone else. i also saw one guard leave the building to yell at these random people standing outside away from the front door. even if they had been kicked out, the event was over and they were clearly leaving/waiting for an uber.
second, the venue is difficult to travel to whether its by car or transit. it’s isolated from any restaurants or other services (like convenience stores) and i didnt see any food being sold at the bar. i would also like to mention the lack of accessibility, it looks like stairs are the only way to get into the venue, i didnt see an elevator around.
third, water is $10 and they include a tip in the total and the machine asks for additional tip. at least provide a water station with cups like any other decent venue if you are going to charge this much for bottled water. there are high energy DJs playing and people need to stay hydrated. as mentioned before, there are no convenience stores around, so you cant avoid this stupid pricing. also, if you are buying shots, you are paying for these tiny disposable plastic cups.
my last issue is with the bottle service. when me and my friends did bottle service, the bottle girls looked incredibly unhappy and bored out of their mind. the table service at any other venue is fun and entertaining! the lack of ‘party’ was disappointing.
forbidden city has potential to be an iconic place. i hope they can improve.
