Went to HIP-E for some quiet drinks of a Tuesday night, after working a busy long weekend in the hospitality sector here in W.A.
Wasn’t that busy when we got inside few tables out the back. Vibe was. Perfect.
Got two drinks. Went to get a third. Got served.
Only in the premises a total of 40minutes overall.

A Security man came to every table and said to each of us “we’re closing now everyone needs to leave? “ Not in the politest way possible e.g. “when you guys are done with those drinks it’s closing time or make your way indoors as we are now closing thank you ” as most bars would say.

Our table, amongst thee others around us outside just all moved inside, where we assumed we had time to finish our remaining drinks, that one individual security man snapped everyone’s drink physically from there hands and shouted I said “we we’re closed 9minutes ago” and proceeded to kick the drink from his hand like a football???! Highly unprofessional, my partner and I were in utter shock, so were the other customers.
As far as I’m aware, according to the liquor act, patrons have a 30MINUTE grace period after closing time to drink up before they leave the premises. This was at 1:25 a.m. by the way, when opening hours is advertised until 3am on Tuesdays?

The bar staff should’ve given a heads up that was the last call/round and they were closing shortly. If we had just been given the heads up about closing in 10-15minutes there would’ve been no issue but no mention of closing and securities attitude and way of going about asking PAYING customers to leave was absolutely appalling.

We paid for our drinks to be kicked across the bar. Extremely dramatic!? Management need to sort this matter with the security agency.

I was a backpacker from the UK I am staying in an Airbnb and they refused to give me entry and a free drink. Because I didn’t stay at a hostel. The Tuesday was absolutely dead only 10 people. The woman bartender was the only reasonable thing about this place as she was friendly

Some guy was being creepy to my friends and he threw a drink on one of them. When she went and tried to tell a bouncer about it he was unhelpful and called her a “snitch”. Ridiculously unprofessional from people that are supposedly looking after the patrons. Don’t waste your time, energy, or money by going here.

Waited in line for 2 hours. Hundreds of people left around 2am but the bouncers where too busy flirting with girls to notice and let us in when we where in the front of the line. Absolutely ridiculous. Also there was a “VIP” line. random people where let in based on the fact that they knew the bouncers which made the wait time even worse. Unfair and awful experience.

I had so much fun tonight. The staff here are fantastic. I had so much fun
