Sotto Night Club

I usually love Sotto and have a great time, but I went the other night and the music was so so loud, to the point where I think I legitimately got hearing damage. I’ve never been to a club where this has been an issue — if they’re going to have the music at that level they should at least offer ear plugs because it is 100% not worth having ringing in your ears for the next few days. That being said, service is always great at Sotto, love the bartenders!!

I’ve been here twice in the last several months, and both times were serious let downs. The place itself is a pretty cool vibe, I could do without the smoke, but the music was pretty bad. Over extended mid beat drops that were only danceable if you were really drunk or desperate to dance like I was. Most of the night, you’d look around, and everyone was standing around waiting for something good or recognizeable to play. Not an enjoyable time. I hope they get a new DJ, I’d maybe give it one more shot.

Last Thursday, my friends and I went for Noche Latina and the ambiance was lit and the music was on point. The DJ played reggaeton, salsa, bachata and cumbia. The price of the ticket was $5 but it was a long line.

I’m new to Wisconsin and miss dancing with my friends back home so this was my first time trying this place. But it was so much fun! The vibe/atmosphere was ideal. All the staff were courteous and professional. And the DJ for the night was fantastic. I’ll definitely be coming back again when I get a free night on the town!

Would leave 0 stars if possible. All of my stuff was stolen at Sotto’s even after I paid to have my jacket checked in.
