What do The Book Club visitors reviews this place?
Julie was a killer host with her fluffy bucket hat sorting out any and all problems that arose during my time at the book club
not sure of the man’s name but whoever was also working in kitchen was great sorting out any mistakes that arose with food, even if they were mine!
would recommend, the staff were all more than just friendly – you feel like you’re talking to a real human and not a customer service bot
security was also very present making sure to make the place both feel and look secure for its customers
in short, 10/10 experience and will recommend to friends
We did the bottomless brunch.
The Queens were both wonderful hosts (Justine and Dylan). We had a thoroughly great time with good food, generous free flow, fun games and excellent tunes. Staff helping with food and drinks WERE BRILLIANT.
My only slight reservation
would be that getting your own drinks at the end of the brunch was rather painful and had to wait around 30 minutes (they said they were busy… I personally didn’t think so and think they missed a ticket here as appeared to not prepared), but didn’t spoil a brilliant afternoon.
The bottomless was so good, my drink was constantly topped up before I even finished my drink. You will be drunk after this brunch and you won’t remember the rest of the evening after.
Can’t recommend this enough! Drag Brunches are the way to go
This security man followed my friend to the toilet, gave him 60 seconds to pee then banged on his cubicle toilet and told him he was in there too long and told him to get out because he believed he was doing drugs…. with no evidence, just lies.
This man then told my friend he has to go outside. This security man took my friend outside and to the other side of the street and accused him again of taking drugs, my friend is in shock and telling him he gives him permission to search him to which the security man say no then proceeds to walk back and closes the entrance from my friend refusing to let him back in……
Then a manager comes out so casually asking what’s up and when trying to explain is refusing to hear any of us out, using the time to only defend his colleague even when we’re explaining everything that unfolded.
Whenever asked about why he was accused with no evidence and why he refused to do a search he just kept defending and deflecting. It was so frustrating not being listened to, but will say the staff who were outside checking id’s and doing searches were really nice and listened when we were explaining the situation.
They searched my friend when we first came in and saw how he was then treated by the security man and they were in as much shock as we were. They apologised on the security man and the managers behalf and we all appreciate how kind they were, that is the treatment we expected from the security man and the manager but clearly power play came into their roles last night.
We also asked the manager if we can be refunded because all of this happened around 20 minutes of us arriving and each of us paid £10 for entry. He told us no and honestly talked to us like we’re not deserving of even a little respect.
We’re all in our late 20/early 30’s and none of us were drunk. It was just really disappointing to witness.
