Twenty Two Night Club

I really hesitated with deciding to write this but decided to go ahead as I think it’s important for everyone to be aware of the following, especially girls. Please, please, please be aware of the bouncers on the main door. I went to an event tonight at Twenty Two with a few friends and we were stopped entering by the two bouncers at the entry. They were insisting my friend was drunk when this was not the case at all. We all had 2 drinks max. We were able to hold conversations, walk fine, we weren’t loud or sloppy or anything you’d expect with people who have had many drinks (because we weren’t drunk). Yet the bouncers were insisting we were drunk. They began to shout at us, threaten us and it felt very uneasy. I’ve never encountered such abuse from bouncers and was surprised that they are allowed to intimidate us. When we convinced them we were fine and were let in we immediately complained to the staff inside who told us “they’re just like that, and have a quota of people they need to turn away every night”. Very weird experience altogether so would just advise people to be mindful when choosing this spot for a night out. Seems like a lot of people have gone through similar experiences with this venue both on google reviews and tripadvisor, which I think speaks volumes. Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected on a night out. It’s clear this isn’t a space you can experience that.

Definitely one of Dublin’s best night clubs. We’ve run events here this year and it’s always a great crowd who come for the music. The sound is great, plenty of dancefloor space as well as comfortable seating. The club definitely put plenty of effort into the overall production – great sound, lighting, CO2 cannons and entertainers etc to ensure a fantastic night out! Shame to see some negative comments here about the club’s security staff as my experience with them has only been positive. Can’t wait to return next year!

One bar man was extremely rude. The card machines went down more than once, so it was cash only! Disaster! Place was far too warm. Drink was overpriced and served in small plastic cups (during Bingo Loco).

Went out Friday night with my sister and her friend. It was my first time in the club and I found it brilliant. Staff were all very lovely and accomedating , music was brilliant . Superb mix of cultures and people. Never noticed a bad vibe from anyone the whole night. Staff are friendly , drinks were good. Security were absolutely amazing. Take their job seriously and are very good at what they do.
5/5 recommend going for sure.
