Now onto the food. We decided to go for the “Yes Chef” Vegan tasting menu and… wow! This wasn’t just outstanding vegan food, this was incredible food! Easily the best dinner I have ever had. Our expectations were exceeded in taste, quality, and quantity of each dish. Highlights were the caviar truffle fries, hand crab rolls, Szechuan spring rolls, chick’n fried maitake, and the “tuna” and “salmon” tartare. But honestly everything was a smash. One day later and we are still full and talking about this experience.
Top compliments go to the chef and the staff. This was an experience we’ll remember for years to come.
We enjoyed the Chef’s tasting menu, with Asian-inspired sushi cones, a radish and cucumber salad with nice sweet dressing, and encrusted eggs with caviar. This was followed by delicious crisp pork belly with mandarin, fries with cilantro and jalapeño, and medium rare beef tenderloin and black pepper sauce with charred broccoli.
Everything was first rate, and the service was top notch. An evening well spent.
We did the chef’s special, where they keep bringing you items until you are stuffed for three days after. I’m vegan, but everyone else is meat eater and they accommodated us all. Definitely worth the price, considering all of us didn’t need to eat the next day bc we were so full. It started off slow and we weren’t sure how much food there would be. But dish after dish was a banger, and pleased all of us. The server was clear on what was vegan, and what wasn’t.
Highlights : vegan ahi, vegan caviar spread (with vegan egg yolks!), egg rolls, and passion fruit mousse.
Super cute intimate vibe. If I’m ever in the area I will 100% be back.
Our price point hit a little higher as we did the Chef’s tasting, but let me tell you, at 13 dishes and 2 desserts, we were bursting and had to take food home, such a good problem, and good value for a unique and elevated meal.
