About this restaurants :
Great ambience, service was pretty good, drinks were also not bad, but other than the beautiful plating the food did not live up to our expectations. With 4 people we ate most of the menu, and only the octopus and brisket were standouts. For the cost of the tamale we generally felt it was a waste, if you’re going to charge $20 for a tamale, include something more than $.05 of truffle oil and $1 of caviar on top. Overall, the entire meal felt like it was priced like a 1 Michelin star restaurant, without the substance at any point along the way. Everyone agreed, we would not return.
Aldama has a great seafood place in their backyard during summer time and i cannot recommend it enough. Taste great, it s fun and service is top notch. I will be back summer 2024 guys.
The food was so to die for. Service was very kind. This was my third time there.
The food is on the expensive side but we enjoyed it every time!
This is for sure the most elevated Mexican restaurants in Williamsburg.

Memorable and elevated Mexican food. Great and distinct flavors. Good for sharing. Even though the menu is short, it offers a big variety.
I loved the guacamole with salsa macha and the vegan mole. The deep charred smokey flavor of the mole stayed with me well after finishing the meal. The textures were all great. The duck in the tlacuyo could have been more intense, I thought the pickled onions overpowered the duck meat.
I would skip the pipián because it was too salty and not as intense and complex in flavor as everything else. Even the wheat tortilla provided with the pipián overpowered its flavor.
I have been here several times and continue to love it. Come for happy hour (5-7p daily) and order the margarita, mezcal de sangre frozen, guacamole (the salsa macha on top makes this special), and any of the tacos or tostadas. The backyard is such a vibe, but HH is only at the indoor bar. The backyard would make a great group dinner spot (several large tables). Also, the staff is so friendly and accommodating.
