About this restaurants :
Can’t say enough about this restaurant. The appetizers are delicious. We had a special flatbread, arethusa cheese plate and pork dumplings. The complimentary app, which included cauliflower, was delicious. Four of us had different entrees: salmon, scallops, sea bass, duck. They were beautifully presented and delicious. The wine was pricey, but good. Service was incredible.
One of the best places to eat in Connecticut. Food was excellent, our mocktails were great and service was superb. If you are looking for a great fine dining experience, make sure to visit this place.
Highly recommended. Always consistently delicious with very friendly service and a skilled bartender who takes cocktail making seriously.
We went for our anniversary dinner and had a truly memorable meal. Cocktails were strong and on point. For appetizers, we shared the cheese board and the uni. both were outstanding. The uni is small, but you get so much punch in each bite. The cheese board came with so many little accoutrements that made it fun and special to try different combinations. I could see coming back and just ordering a bunch of apps – it was difficult to choose!
For our entrees, I got the duck. Now, I don’t normally order duck, but a friend recommended it and I am SO glad I ordered it. So special, and the gnocchi on the side was very good. My husband ordered the agnolotti with fiddleheads – so scrummy!
For dessert we got the walnut and chocolate cakes served with ice cream. We were practically licking the plates.
We spent $275 including tip, but it was worth every penny for such a marvelous experience. The service, as mentioned in many other reviews, was outstanding. The servers were pleasant and attentive without being overbearing.
We will certainly return!
Arethusa served up one of the finest meals my wife and I could remember. The parsnip soup was unbelievably delicious! My Sea Bass with peperonata and creamy gouda polenta was done perfectly. And my wife loved her Seared Scallops. Another amazing creation!! Our server, William, couldn’t have been better. And we loved watching the bartender Brian make his fantastic specialty drinks! We live over 3 hours away, but hope to return with our foodie friends some day soon!!
