Avenue Restaurant and Bar

I’ve known about Avenue since it opened and slightly embarrassed I haven’t dined here before. From the service to the food to the vibe it was all top shelf. The aged beef ravioli was amazing. For those who don’t drink, they have a great mocktail list for your enjoyment. I definitely won’t wait as long to return.

Second time visiting this must try restaurant. The beef Wellington. Is their crown jewel and was delicious. I ordered medium rare but it came medium. Overdone, still delicious but not perfect The sides (potatoes and veggies) were perfectly prepared. The appetizers were not great. Tempura shrimp was not true tempura, just battered with no tempura. The steak tartare was a bit of a let down. It was a bit too sweet, and had a sweet relish flavour to it. I would go back for a special event but would pass on the appetizers.

Avenue tends to be a solid experience. The menu is small and specialized, with an emphasis on quality over quantity. The cocktails tend to be well made. The decor is nice, and the space is well used. It’s certainly pricey, but it can be worth it if this is the type of establishment you enjoy.

Amazing restaurant located downtown Regina. The staff was amazing, and the food was too die for. I had the pork belly cut starters. The pork was a little tougher than it could’ve been, but the flavours more than made up for it. It was followed by the smoked mushrooms which were like eating a piece of heaven. This plate will warm up your soul in those cold fall evenings. Andrew at the bar was very friendly, and could mix a great cocktail too.

We love this place! We don’t even consider going elsewhere for dinner & drinks when we’re in Regina. The staff are incredible & very welcoming (even when we changed our reso time twice and were still late 😅). Come here if you want an impressive night out in this little city!
