Babe’s Chicken Dinner House

Hands down the best, most authentic and delicious meal we had while in Texas last week. Great atmosphere, we waited outside in the cold for our table, and it was very well decorated and cute. They told us 45 minutes and we were sat in 20. Food was amazing, we both had the fried chicken and haven’t stopped talking about it since. Perfectly Fried, crispy and Hot but extra juicy and flavorful inside. All of the sides were great, gravy left a bit to be desired but was better after I put black pepper on it. Our server Mariah was friendly and attentive. The meal you get for the price is incredible. Our only regret is not ordering dessert. We looked online after the fact and are so bummed we missed those tasty treats! BIG Babes Fans, will definitely be back when we return!

Went for lunch on a holiday and was able to get seated right away, which was nice. The parking lot was full, so I thought we might have to wait. The service was fast and the food was good! The waitress kept checking on us and provided refills of veggies as requested. The butter on the table is cold, so when the biscuits came out, I just put the wrapped sliced butter under the biscuit and was able to pour onto the biscuit in a minute. So yummy! There is also honey and syrup on the table for the biscuits. We ordered catfish and baked chicken. They were both good, and the chicken had a little kick to it. It does cost about $20 a person but with unlimited veggies, that are tasty, it’s a good meal where you leave full. I have never been able to save room for dessert, but they do offer some.

Be prepared to receive a warm family welcome as you get seated for an experience to remember. The biscuits were simply to die for, perfectly golden and melt-in-your-mouth, so don’t be shy to ask for more. What sets this place apart is the offer of unlimited salad and sides, providing a delightful variety to accompany the main course.

Choosing between the smoked chicken and fried chicken proved to be a delightful dilemma—both were exceptional. The smoked chicken had a rich, savory flavor, while the fried chicken boasted a crispy perfection that was hard to resist.

Despite the savory feast, saving room for dessert is a must. The sweet treats offered the perfect ending to an already outstanding meal.

A lot of food. Chicken was good. Mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box… but I’m sure it’s just the seasoning they put on them. Fun atmosphere. It is a family style place where they bring out a platter of the chicken and lots of sides. About $20 a person for food. I believe kids (10 and under) was $8.

Incredible restaurant! You know they have to be amazing when their menu is small since they master all of their food items.
You order your style of chicken and then all the sides are unlimited.
Had the fried chicken and the mashed potatoes and corn were on a different level!
