First time customer, greeted with a cleaver stuck on the glass door, clever and a standout matching the restaurants theme. The restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere. If you are lucky with the arm chair….. sink in nicely.

The steaks are cooked perfectly. The dishes are of a generous portion.

The service was brilliant.

All in all a great experience with wonderful company.

Price….. As expected…. At the top end.

We came here three years ago for our wedding anniversary and the food was excellent so decided to come back to celebrate the same occasion. Unfortunately the standard has really degraded. The dishes looked fancy but they did not get the basics right – The fish and duck were both over cooked and dry and every dish was under seasoned. We even got all the highly recommended dishes. The service and ambience were excellent though. Overall it was not worth the high price tag and we probably won’t be returning.

We stumbled upon this in Auckland & we were fortunate to get a reservation. The staff were just so friendly and knowledgable &of course the steaks ( eye fillet and scotch) cooked perfectly with delicious sauce options and sides. The macaroni cheese and pancini delicious, the yummy sourdough bread, warm and gooey smeared with garlic butter and the French fries crunchy & salty ! perfect ! THANKS FOR A MEMORABLE DINNER
