Butcher and Banker NYC

What a unique place I happened upon while visiting the cafe upstairs. Cocktails in a bank vault is a first for me. This restaurant/cocktail lounge is unique, beautifully decorated and a definite place to try. We had appetizers and cocktails and everything was delicious, excellent customer service and you can’t beat the atmosphere. We did enjoy the mini tacos, burrata and the sliders topped with shrimp. I would definitely like to return for a complete dinner.

1- Food = 3/5. Seafood Tower lacked freshness and our Steak was ok,,,not sure if this steak is DRY-AGED or WET-AGED but it’s not as flavorful as other steaks we’ve had in other top tier steakhouse’s. Steak was cooked medium, exactly what we requested. All of our sides were delicious.
2 – Service = 5/5. Waiter was friendly and professional, engaging at times.
3 – Ambiance = 5/5. Beautiful restaurant in an old bank. Actually has an old vault in dining room in which you can dine in.
4 – Reservations = 5/5. Easy to get
5 – Value = 4/5. Over all it was a good experience. The dishes and drinks are slightly less expensive than other steakhouses in Manhatten. Service and location is amazing.
I would recommend and return.

Horrible food way overpriced!
I ordered a shrimp dish and got a plate with the shrimp well hidden and covered with endless kadaif dough.
The waiter told me that the other shrimp dish will have only 5 shrimps and is too small. He recommended on this one as a main course so I took it. So I ended up with 3 shrimps that I couldn’t even see, a paste that was sweet, brown and looked very bad, and the taste of this whole disk was so bad that I stopped eating. This is first time in my life that I leave $800 for a dinner (5 people) and go to eat a pizza right after. I was hungry!
The dishes are over priced, the wine list is super expensive. Don’t go if you have budget issues or have a taste in food.

Very unique restaurant!! We ate INSIDE a bank safe!! (see picture). The entire staff was very friendly and very prompt! Thrre was 13 people in our party. We ordered drinks/appetizers, which all came out promptly! Amazing considering how many of us there were! We ordered our main course; mine was the 10oz filet mignon with mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, and a whole roasted garlic bulb! YUMM!!!! Dessert drink was the ‘Nutty Butcher’ (see menu pic)!
Overall one of the best dinner experiences I’ve had in NYC!! Thank you all very much!!! 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was very excited to come here but unfortunately this place did not exactly meet my expectations. The drinks were excellent, bartender did his thing. But the food, specifically the steak was not that great, it was missing flavor and was slightly overcooked. The Mac and cheese was delicious. Service was great, waiters were very attentive. While I did enjoy my dinner this isn’t a place I would necessarily come back to
