Food: The entrees were nice, would recommend. The main was very disappointing. The beef cheek had very salty beef and very sweet mushroom that I had to drink water after every bite. The pork was also very very very fat, roughly 80% of it was fat. I made a complaint to the waitress and I got a replied from the chief, “this is how it is, it is the fattest dish on the menu. Sorry you didn’t like it.” I though this was not a very satisfactory reply. But this is my personal opinion.
Service: Everything was fine as we got in the restaurant. We sat for 20 minutes and no one approached us where we then asked for someone to help us order. When they approached us they explained the menu which is very nice but I would have expected so when they gave us the menu rather then remaining silent and giving us an explanation when we have decided what to order despite being confused about the menu.
The atmosphere of the place was cozy and warm there were definitely a lot of people. The seat arrangement is slightly too packed, and it’s slight hard to move around if you are seated at the middle of the restaurant.

Everything bout that place is awesome friendly waiters to constantly check on us and superb food.
The lamb is a literal must try it’s one of the best lamb I had. The fat and meat has a perfect balance along the flavour simply divine.
Beef flavour was a little smoky but the taste was not too bad.
Fish n chips were very nice. Fish was very flavourful and the chips were crispy
Lastly the pork belly. It is huge bigger than my hand lol. The apple and raspberry balances out the pork fat. It was also very tender.

Been 5 years between visits but this place still delivers a fantastic experience. Sat so we could watch the kitchen working. It was a pleasure to see obviously professional people conduct themselves so efficiently. The food was melt in the mouth delicious.
This place is hard to rate. The Market Fish main I ordered was overcooked and dry and the sauce was OK, but definitely not worth the $45. The cocktail and oysters to start with were good, and my partner really enjoyed the lamb, but for me, I just could never reccomend this place as the two previous nights I had far better mains elsewhere and Wellington is full of so many good options! We seemed to have two waitresses as well that were out of sync on where we were on the ordering and serving process and we had to ask for the drinks menu back twice, so I guess I expected more for the price, but it was ultimately still fine
Delicious and memorable meal! The lamb and beef were devine. Tasty dessert as well. A well executed dining experience on all fronts – food, cocktails, wines and friendly and helpful service. Would definitely make a return visit.
