Cipriani Downtown (New York City)

Love the atmosphere. It is an experience dining here. They prepare my favourite steak tartare i have ever had. The lemon meringue dessert is phenomenal also.

A friend recommended it based on the “great reviews” about the place and the food.

While service was great, the food was a big disappointment. I could not finish it. I got the veal, and the food was super salty, I know that I could have asked them to remake it, but honestly, it was not worth to me, the sauce just didn’t taste well.

The pasta my friend got was better, but it was a bit spicy.

Let me be honest, any less than average Italian restaurant would have better tasting or similar tasting food.

The place is crowded, tables extremely close to each other, but I know that a lot of people enjoy that. So if that’s Something you like, you will enjoy the place.

The place is clean, the staff were nice, liked the decor. But the food was blah.

The dessert was really good, that’s a plus.

Go there with zero expectations, and you will have a better experience.

Street parking was available, but I’m sure that’s not the case on weekends.

got us seated quick!! Restaurant was full !! My favorite dish here is Calves Liver “alla Veneziana” with Grilled Polenta its so delicious 🤤!!!

All experience was delightful from the first step
We had reservation for two but our cousin joined us and gentlemen in the front desk happily put us in a beautiful table . The food was delicious and portions big , sea bass and asparagus my favourites. And of course famous cake . Be honest don’t know why there bad reviews. We had a lovely time

The pasta and eggplant parmigiana were exceptional, The vibe is cool, and the staff is super attentive. Definitely a spot worth checking out for a great meal!
