Circa 1876 Restaurant The Convent Hunter Valley

We had an amazing dining experience from food to service to atmosphere. More importantly, this is also a kids friendly place and serve decent food for kids. They even provide colouring activity. The staffs are all very lovely. The food was well-executed with lovely taste, and they kept serving complimentary food x3 throughout the meals.

At the entrance we walked in through the cottage hallway and into the main dining room. Lovely atmosphere during the evening. We had the three course dinner with complimentary bread starter and much appreciated peach sorbet. Each dish was beautifully presented with a medley of flavours and colours.

What a beautiful historic restaurant. Stunning grounds, delicious food and great service. Very cosy with beautiful decor and fireplaces. Food is a tasting menu, very comprehensive wine list and an option to pair wines to the menu items. We had scallops, pork belly, duck and fish, all delicious with beautiful presentation. Would definitely be back.

What a day!
We had the best time having the best lunch 😋 with a very good view of the garden.
A team member welcomed us to the table, and that was the beginning of the fun.
The food was amazing. Delicious is an understatement.
Chef special is so good for dessert.

As a Hunter Valley wedding photographer I frequently work at Circa 1876 & The Convent and can say that this is a very stunning venue. Not only is the food exceptional but they also have some lovely accommodation options for you and your guests so you can get ready on site. Every wedding I have photographed here has been a joy to photograph, not just because of the beautiful setting but also largely because of the exception coordination by Aurelie their events manager and the staff.
