City Extra 24 Hour Restaurant

Absolutely amazing experience at City Extra. The menu is massive, so there is always something that you will like. The service here is amazing, and everyone that we spoke to was extremely polite and friendly. I’m not 100% sure on it, but there also seemed to be a bag storage area which is another addition to their amazing service. The food was delicious and the servings are very generous

I have been to this restaurant many times but usually ordered coffee or drinks which were okay until I ordered food this time which was an awful experience I would say.
Overall this place is pretty average, the good thing is that it’s open 24 hours but they really need to work on their food.
I ordered pasta and it had no taste other than just red pepper due to which I couldn’t eat more than 3-4 bites.

Pretty awesome diner. The food portions were very sizeable and also very delicious. Location wise is very good, as it’s just opposite the ferry stop and short walk from the CBD. Would recommend a visit and a feed.

I was hungry and ordered the mixed grill, and as you can see on the picture it looked good, and the perfect location next to the ferries couldn’t be better.

But thats where the good part ends, there was absolutely no flavour, lack of seasoning and very blend. Except the salad… it was good but didn’t look fresh…

While I was eating suddenly the waiter was looking downwards and approaching me, he was hunting a cockroach 🪳. I am not afraid but i don’t expect them in a restaurant, maybe it came from outside.. but still it makes me wonder what else could crawl there.

They should be asked to shut down this place, for serving such bad food at such a great location.😠

We are regulars here and it is without doubt one of the BEST places to eat if you are down at the Quay/Rocks area.

This is a BIG place, open 24 hours a day with plenty of seating. Having said that, sometimes you will have to wait for a table, especially on weekends when they are packed out. It has a great reputation and is keenly sought after by those in the know who enjoy great food and service.

You have a choice of dining inside or out. There are also really comfy booths available inside, so be sure to ask to be seated in one of those. The views are beautiful and look out over Sydney harbour and the Harbour Bridge as you watch the ferries arrive and depart whilst enjoying your meal.

There is always plenty of staff who are lovely to deal with. The food is BRILLIANT, with big servings that come out piping hot and delicious.

We called in for breakfast recently and absolutely LOVED the “Big Breakfast” meal they served us.
