We stopped here on a road trip of the Wild Atlantic Way. It wasn’t planned, but we were in need of a drink!
We thought they wouldn’t be able to seat us as it was really busy and there was 5 of us, but they opened up upstairs for us and wow…. what a place!
We decided to get some breakfast whilst we were there. The French Toast was just beautiful. Portion sizes were really generous and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Went for dinner here with family for a Christmas get-together, all expectations were exceeded! The menu is original and surprising. Particularly loved the smoked almond butter with treacle oat bread, crab claws, and the chocolate mousse for dessert. Staff are very attentive and friendly, lovely atmosphere and they’ve done such a beautiful job renovating and styling the building. Great addition to the village!
The restaurant is excellent. We had a côte de bœuf with a very good wine. We were seated at the counter so we had the chance to watch the chefs working which was very nice. The dessert were also very good.
Connollys is an extraordinary restaurant and pub. We are originally Italian, and have been living in Ireland for a few years now, and one of the things we appreciate the most is the quality of Irish food, which is increasingly high. Besides, Irish fish, meat, milk are the best in the world.
At Connollys the food is absolutely among the best in the whole island, both for dinner and lunch. Sophistication, excellent blend of scents and flavors, perfect portions, high-quality ingredients. Not only that, the staff is among the best in all of Ireland: kindness, smiles, great customer care.
I believe that Connollys will increasingly become one of those places where people will travel from everywhere to enjoy the fusion of great food, superb sea view, and people.
