What do Fishermans Table Restaurant visitors reviews this place?
I absolutely enjoyed my time at Fishermans Table. The views were stunning. The food was delicious! I had the steak personally, along with the salad bar. We also had a dessert which was an ice cream sundae and it was delicious! I would definitely come back here. Perfect for a nice afternoon out 🙂
“The Fisherman’s Table is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the warm and inviting atmosphere of a true hidden treasure. The staff is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, guiding you through a menu that truly celebrates the bounty of the sea. Every dish we had was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The ambience is elegant yet comfortable, and the stunning waterfront view adds an extra layer of magic to an already unforgettable dining experience. If you’re in search of a truly exceptional seafood dining experience, look no further than the Fisherman’s Table. It’s a true 5-star experience that you won’t find anywhere else. We can’t wait to come back!”
Other than celery in most of the salads, the meal was great. We hadn’t booked so couldn’t have a window seat, but the view from the table was still good.
So this place has been around for years…
And it looks like it. Definitely looking run down and in desperate need of a scrub.
There was a hole in the wall where we were sat and all the surroundings were filthy.
I was expecting better. The view is beautiful but if you cant see it through the dirty windows whats the point? It was a very busy place so I guess it must be hard to close for renovations? But it is well over due.
Food was average. But I really couldn’t get past the dead fly at my window.

Ohhhh delectable bliss and happiness at Fisherman’s Table.
The decision to go here for tea was a spur of the moment one, and I hadn’t been here for years.
It was Saturday, and a friend and I were out doing some errands I had to get done. We were very casually dressed and weren’t even sure we would be seated… but… they had a nook for us, and the culinary adventure began.
We started with a half Cobb loaf and the deep fried camembert cheese with boysenberry syrup, what was possibly swirls of sour cream and crackers. Mmmmm, neither of us had had this before, and now they’ve set the bar high. It was one of the nicest things I think either of us have ever had.
An Isaac’s cider and tropical delight mocktail were the drinking choices, and were excellent choices indeed!
Stuffed mushrooms for me and a tandoori chicken tender style dish for my friend and we were done. Much as we eyed that dessert menu, we just weren’t fitting more food in.
Top this off with fabulous staff (and plenty of them!), a busy but excellent atmosphere and that wonderful view of the ocean and Kapiti Island, who could ask for more as a dining experience. It felt perfect.
