What a surprising experience. The food simply put was far superior to the actual venue surrounds. Situated within a neighbourhood shopping centre, alongside a park area serving as a childcare centre, Garçon was surprisingly good given these free range toddlers. It could easily command a more high end position.

Every meal we had was just so flavourful & cooked so beautifully. We had to have a 2nd serve of the Zucchini Flowers cause they really were that good.

Special shout out to the Chef, Justine (the “French girl” 😜) & to our hostess Dianne, you were amazing.

Also, our mixologist, “Alejandro” 😉 whose preparation of my ‘Triple Smoked Maple Old Fashioned’ cocktail was a perfect accompaniment to my delicious meal – its aroma was in itself quite an aperitif. Thanks again – we will be back 😎

Absolutely amazing! We went there on Valentine’s Day, and the menu that they created & served was just wonderful! Each dish was served with smiles and happiness by the team! I am absolutely recommending this beautiful French restaurant to anyone who wants to have an incredible experience.

I had Christmas special lunch set with my cousin. The food was generally high quality and delicious. The staff was friendly, welcoming us. Just one thing that I don’t like was the watermelon salad. That should be served cold and fresh but it was room temperature and feeling not fresh enough.

Had the dinner tasting menu recently and it was fabulous – a fine mix of standard, new and seasonal treats (for example the grilled king prawns with the pumpkin purée was creative and quite interesting). Matched the tasting menu with a few by-the-glass wines (sparkling, still and a digestive) and voila – a very pleasing summer dinner for two. With drinks expect to part with a smidgen over $200 but worth the moolah. We’ll be back for sure.

We recently visited Garçon Restaurant & Cafe at Lane Cove and experienced a mix of delights and concerns. The restaurant exuded a charming French atmosphere, complemented by exceptional service. We enjoyed dishes like the Catalan Mussels Pot, Truffle Chicken Cordon Bleu, and a kid-friendly Fettuccine.

The Truffle Chicken Cordon Bleu was a highlight, showcasing the chef’s skill with its aromatic flavors and presentation. The mussels’ sauce was exceptionally tasty. However, our excitement was dampened by a hygiene issue—several dead cockroaches were near our table, compromising the dining experience. Furthermore, the mussels lacked proper cleaning as most of them still had their beards.

Despite the delicious flavors and pleasant ambiance, the hygiene concern significantly impacted our visit. We hope Garçon Restaurant & Cafe addresses these issues promptly to maintain a consistently enjoyable and hygienic dining environment.
