This place stands out with its unique and cozy atmosphere, setting it apart from the typical restaurants you’ll find in Ireland, in my opinion. I visited for lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised by the wide range of options, making it difficult to choose. The flavors were exceptional, and my wife shared the same sentiment. We spent approximately 50 euros for a meal for two adults and one child, and every cent was well worth it due to the fantastic experience. I highly recommend it!
Lovely quiet restaurant with beautifully cooked fresh food. Quick, efficient, polite staff. The chowder deserves an award for being so good. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Tuam (it’s basically a requirement).
Unfortunately I can’t recommend this restaurant for anyone with dietary requirements. When this restaurant was booked they were asked if they could accommodate a plant based diet. They assured us that they could and they would discuss the requirements on the day ( I should have known at this point it wasn’t going to work out)
Offering to take out the goats cheese from a salad is not good enough. They also offered to serve the Dahl without yoghurt.
I don’t understand why they didn’t just tell us on the phone that they can only offer salad or Dahl. Obviously I would never have booked this restaurant if I knew that was all they could offer. I purposely tried to avoid this situation by calling ahead to check what was available but they just said over the phone we can accommodate the request and we will discuss on the day.

The waiter was not very professional and actually border line rude re my request.
The chef must have heard us discussing the dilemma and came out and asked us if they could put other stuff in the salad but never said what…..
All in all not a good experience. I really did try to avoid this situation by phoning ahead to check what was available for plant based diets but unfortunately they seemed to just want to take the booking regardless of the requirements. Total failure, an expensive mistake. I’m reluctant to leave a bad review for any business but unfortunately feel like I have no choice. I wish they had just said on the phone it’s not possible to accommodate a plant based diet.
Very nice atmosphere. food was excellent, great attention to detail. You will not be disappointed.
