His Place Eatery – Chicken & Waffles, BBQ & Soul food

Let’s start with the food was really really really good. I personally didn’t care for the mac & cheese or the bourbon corn. The mac and cheese tasted a little “fake”, which was surprising considering how great the other sides were. I also felt a little rushed. It wasn’t 3 minutes that we sat down and the waitress asked us if we were ready to order. We had to send her away around 4 times before we were ready. Overall the food was really good and we will be back.

Amazing food! Portions were extremely generous and prices were so reasonable. Staff was super friendly. Literally the best Smokehouse grilled cheese sandwich I have ever had. We are from out of town, but we will absolutely be visiting His Place anytime we are in the area!

I haven’t been to His Place in forever, because I’m a Westsider, but I was hanging out with my Dad & decided to go someplace that he’d like.. & since I hear they’re adding a new location that’s closer to me (86th & Ditch) , I figured why not refamiliarize myself with their menu? My diet has changed a bit since the last time I was there so I had my mind set on the fish options. As expected, it did not disappoint.. I can’t wait til they open the new location so I don’t have to wait as long to try them again.. 😋

If you like food with soul and comfort this your place to good. They have some amazing fried chicken with waffles and candied yams . The mac and cheese is also very good. The food does have a little spice . The portions are very good and some you could easily split depending on how hungry you are .

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by everyone working. We ordered and our food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. Candied yams were more like a dessert but still great flavors from all the food. When we were done and about to walk out everyone told us goodbye. We will definitely return when we come back to Indianapolis.
