About this restaurants :
The food for the most part was decently interesting but nothing very imaginative and I wouldn’t return given the price point.
Ordered two mains, one of which was the heritage pork which we had to send back because it was quite overcooked. The other main dish, the steak, was cooked to a perfect medium rare but the overall dish was just quite boring. The seasonal southern vegetable plate was tasty and my favorite part of the dinning experience.
The manager was very kind and understanding about sending the food back. Overall the service was great but the food definitely left something to be wanted.
Returning to Husk was like stepping into a delicious dream I never wanted to wake from. Each bite was a symphony of flavors that demanded my full attention, unlike my first visit where I was lost in a stupor of culinary ecstasy. This time, I savored every moment, from the delectable beef tartare to the dreamy beet salad. The swordfish and oyster stew? A tidal wave of emotions. My anticipation to join my wife’s conference in Nashville solely for the Husk experience speaks volumes. Inspired by Sean Brock’s passion for Southern cuisine on ‘Mind of a Chef,’ Husk is a culinary pilgrimage for any adventurous foodie, offering Southern cuisine elevated to another level. As a Canadian seeking culinary inspiration wherever I roam, Husk embodies the essence of Nashville’s vibrant food scene. Thank you for an unforgettable culinary journey.
This is such a cool restaurant. You feel like you are about to walk into Grandma’s house. The service is excellent. Incredibly friendly. I love the concept of an ever changing menu. It really allows the chef to showcase their skills. The food was fantastic. The appetizer with the beets was hard down the best beet dish I have ever had, and I love beets. The seasonal veggies were great. If you are looking for a taste of a lot of things, great choice. It was just two of us, so between apps and dinner it was a lot of food. Drinks were great too. If Ghost & The Darkness is still on the menu when you go, and you are looking for a drink that transforms the winter holiday season into a taste? It’s this one. So delicious!
Overall a fantastic experience, from the service to the food to the vibe.
Impeccable and innovative food, amazing atmosphere, and impeccable service. This is the place to go if you want elevated Southern food with creative influence from other cuisines. The building is gorgeous and the interior is upscale yet cozy. Each plate is beautiful and delicious. Service was on par if not better than most Michelin restaurants I’ve been to – the Southern hospitality really shines through. Prices are very reasonable too for the level of food and service you’re getting – this place can easily be a $150/person tasting menu place from a pricing perspective, but they choose the much more approachable a-la-cart style with each entree around $35-$40 and apps around $15. Definitely ask about the Southern Greens! Highly recommend especially for a date night!
Delicious, fresh and innovative! Their menu is constantly changing and locally sourced. The dishes are creative and have combinations that have never tried before. Also, restaurant is a bit further away from the craziness in the downtown area which is very nice. Highly recommend the beef tartare and the pork. The molasses flan was very different form things I’ve tried before so highly recommend it too.
