Kai Restaurant

Kai is definitely a restaurant that should be in your priority list while visiting Galway. All the dishes are seasonal, using superb quality products. Both the food and presentation of the dishes are memorable. Excellent service and wine list and the ambience is cozy, amiable and unpretentious. It’s not a cheap restaurant yet it’s definitely worth the bill.

Kai was truly a memorable experience. The food was remarkable. Each dish was made with seasonal ingredients and culinary imagination. The chefs truly exhibited mastery in the menu they crafted and each dish was their brilliance on display.

Among the starters, the fresh figs and coppa were my favorite. As for mains, the Connemara lamb was spectacular, but the strip steak was a close second. And the final desserts were all perfect, but the bread pudding, as well as the honey and oat cakes were especially great.

A great experience. I highly recommend putting in a reservation and experiencing this delightful meal for yourself!

If you’re going to treat yourself out to a dinner in Galway- this is the place to go. I saw Kai recommended on Tik Tok and then our hotel listed it as their #1 recommendation. Since it was Good Friday and I’m American, I wanted to make sure we had dinner reservations somewhere. (Don’t worry- everything in Galway was open). They were prompt to respond to our reservation request and followed up the day of to confirm.

The menu changes every day. The bread was incredible (and luckily they put two baskets of it on our table). The presentation of their dishes was incredible and the flavor was divine. The best part of the meal was definitely the dessert, they somehow mastered making an ice cream sandwich with a cookie that wouldn’t get soggy or crumble. While it’s pricier than a pub, it was not outrageously expensive. Cannot recommend enough!

My husband and I were visiting Galway last weekend and I had looked up a few places for lunch! We decided on Kai due to the good reviews. When we got there at about 1:30pm there was a large queue. However after being told 20 min wait we were seated in about 10. Inside is beautiful, really cozy with eccentric vibes. I got the fish fingers and my husband got the stew both were absolutely delicious! We shared the pistachio and vanilla cake with two Americanos and it was probably the best cake and coffee I’ve ever had in Ireland. The staff were really friendly also and the service was prompt. Can’t wait to go back for dinner some time

Absolutely delightful. The food is exceptional, with each dish highlighting the freshness of the ingredients. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal. I can’t wait to go back!
