About this restaurants :
1. The toast was cold from the inside (served in 3-4 minutes, definitely not prepared order by order, disappointing)
2. The toast is a bit dry from the inside.
To give a summary of what happened, I ordered a French toast. Believe it or not, it came in 3-4 minutes. And no surprise, it was cold from the inside. I was expecting the French toast to be warm from the inside had they just cooked order by order. And inside was also dry.
I know the quality (bread, fruits) is good, but the way they serve it cold and made it dry doesn’t worth $21 + tax for sure. However, the coffee was good and the atmosphere of the place is nice 🙂
Please be careful when they serve you fast and dry and cold, I didn’t bring that up at the time because I was partially in a rush.
Finally came back last Saturday. It’s still as quaint and cozy. Croissants were good. Staff was nice and attentive.
Ordered a Croque Madame (with egg) and French Toast to share and both were lovely. I could tell the brioche and croissants would be lovely too.
It is a small cafe and they only serve walk-ins. Hence it is not advisable to come in a group more than 4.
You can see from the photos that accompany this review, the pastries we ordered were incredibly dense, heavy, dry – not enjoyable to consume.. definitely not the calibre of pastries you would expect from a cafe claiming to be an authentic and quality French patisserie??
We ordered the escargot, chocolate croissant and the ham and cheese croissant. The hot chocolate was basically milk, not much chocolate flavour either 🙁
