What do Maha Restaurant visitors reviews this place?
Hidden in an unassuming street this restaurant is a an absolute gem. High end Lebanese at its best. Cool background music, dimly lit, exceptional service, exceptional wine list with some exotic options. Tasting menu is the way to go.
I’m not one who usually leaves reviews, but this place certainly deserves all 5 stars.
The food was incredible, delicious, and filling. We had the base set menu, with ad-on snacks.
The restaurant was accommodating to my husbands dietary preferences and substituted his seafood dish for the vegetarian option menu ones. Simply outstanding service.
The wait staff were fantastic, attentative, and knowledgeable.

Would gladly return to eat here again.
Maha deserves its place in Melbourne’s dining scene. Flavours were more or less spot on, leaving you wanting just another mouthful! Had the heirloom tomatoes, scallop and asparagus to start. All three entrees were fantastic with reasonably generous portions. For mains, had the lamb shoulder which was cooked to perfection, and the Lebanese garlic dumplings. This was the only letdown, with barely any flavour of garlic and the oomph you’d expect from a Maha dish. It was almost like a kids Italian meal, which was disappointing. Big portion though. The mains were accompanied by the green beans which were delicious and the pilaf which was so fluffy and flavoursome. The Turkish delight doughnuts with walnut icecream was the show-stopper. One of the best things we’ve eaten! You’d want to return just for this! Highly recommend.
Food and service were impeccable. Kenny, our waiter, was very knowledgeable and personable. The manager also. Despite not reserving a table they were able to squeeze us in after several other restaurants turned us away. Highly recommended. Exceeded expectations. Slow roasted lamb shoulder was an excellent choice, as were all the dishes.
Celebrated an anniversary here and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The dining room was very dimly lit, and had a lively yet intimate atmosphere. The wait staff were extremely professional and were able to guide us through the menu and dishes as they arrived. The tasting menu was well orchestrated, with the flow of dishes organised in such a way that made each dish come with new flavours, textures and temperatures. Standouts were the hummus and zaatar, Lebanese garlic and pumpkin dumplings, and the desserts, although all the other dishes were delicious too. Would highly recommend for a special night out.
