Thank you for you reply, I believe you’re getting the conversation a little mixed up with me and my partner, in relation to the food that was all her enquiries my issue was the fact the drink had alcohol in it and was listed on the non-alcoholic section on your menu. I come from a religious background and even a drop is not permissible you serve Halal meat with a Halal certification which is related to all Muslims surly you would be aware of what we can and cannot consume. If the alcohol guidelines don’t consider that drink as an alcoholic beverage due to the low amounts added that’s another topic on it’s own. Bottom line is you cater for the Muslim faith based on you Halal certification I suggest you should also apply this to your drinks. It’s pointless saying you meals are Halal but it’s okay to serve drinks that contain small doses of alcohol. I’m not trying to come across rude in anywhere I’m just keeping the people in my faith aware of this situation.
Kind Regards
Good place if you are after some good indian meal. You can have the meal while enjoying the view from pier point.
What a disappointment. The food was mediocre compared to when at the old venue, the service was nonchalant and the prices have gone up. The waitress completely forgot one person’s order. The owner seemed disinterested. I literally had to waive my hands in the air to get any attention from the wait staff and to pay the bill (3 service staff + owner with only 6 tables occupied).
This is a big shame as the new venue is nice but it definitely doesn’t make up for all that’s been lost, neglected or forgotten.
This review was written in ernest for the Marinade’s restaurant on the pier. I would of immediately raised the concern if I had realised the mistake at the time of dining in. I got the korma for takeaway so I did not realise that it was the wrong dish until I had it for lunch at home the next day unfortunately.
Would of liked to score higher but unfortunately I cannot justify that. Upon arrival we were offered water which never arrived. We had to use the QR code to order as we received no service at the table, this was okay but honestly a little disappointing. But the main reason why we are disappointed is because we ordered a “lamb Korma”, which turned out to not be lamb at all and rather some kind of vegetable substitute that is way too spicy considering we ordered mild. So it looks like we got the wrong dish despite paying $130 for 2 adults plus a kids meal.
