The Best in entire New Zealand.. I dont usually eat Oyster because of the smell and taste., But here in Ortega Wellington their Oyster are so fresh!! taste soo good the combination of their sauce makes it more better! We had 3 servings of Oyster as we cant get enough of it so delicious!! and their other dish too!! The staff are all very friendly and professional..!

We didn’t have a reservation but was able to get into the restaurant at 8:30 with the help of a staff. They ran out of the octopus and steam mussels and oysters were not offered. Had 2 kinds of fish instead. Both were amazing.

What a place! Fantastic little restaurant with a great bar, I simply enjoy dining at the bar when on business trips and I wasnt disappointed! Great menu with some delicious choices. The teeny weeny french toast is definitely a stunner, the local oysters fresh as can be and the smoked fish rilletes was a highlight!

Bustling restaurant but excellent service from the team. Order 2x entrées and 2x mains. The fish crudo was refreshing and delicious, and the octopus was nicely charred and balanced. The John Dory was a bit predictable but it was fresh and well seasoned. But the prawn pasta entrée was disappointing, I expected a slightly larger portion or fresher ingredients for the price. But the staff were professional in handling my feedback so I appreciate that. Book ahead of time in the weekend as it gets busy!

Outstanding quality food. The service was friendly and the staff had a detailed knowledge of the wines and food. Super impressed with the wine options.

Had the best grilled octopus which was recommended by the waitress.
