About this restaurants :
Just gratuitously good. Service was so warm and friendly and intuitive while being whip-sharp precise. The food was a fantastic blend of creative and traditional while being absolutely delicious all the way through. Reasonable portions, a glorious course structure, and frankly with the gratuity included and no supplements an altogether fair price for a 5+-star experience.
The dining experience was exceptional, with delicious food, upscale atmosphere, and friendly service were excellent. Reservations usually filled up weeks in advance. We got lucky when one spot opened up. Each course was made meticulously and the cocktail was excellent. The experience is worth the price, making it perfect for special occasions.
This was a twenty year dream come true for me. I’ve been following per se since they opened in 2004 and finally made the visit on 3/3. We had the shorter tasting in the salon and honestly, so glad we did that and not the main dining room. The room was luxuriously comfortable. It felt elevated without being too pretentious. The service was warm, friendly, and professional. The food was excellent in presentation and preparation. We left feeling full and happy. They were even kind enough to let me keep a copy of the menus as a keepsake. I hope to return in the future. Truly memorable experience.
The oysters and pearls is an incredible dish, so was the scallop, but the meat dish, the lamb, was just awful, the meat and fat kind of combined into a pate like thing that had a real rubbery thing going. The big problem with the tasting menu is while it gives choices the choices frequently involved enormous additional supplements ($140 for black truffles on the pasta?) so you were kind of stuck. The desserts were excellent. The bread was very disappointing. That being said the atmosphere was wonderful (the renovations have brought a huge improvement), and the service was perfect. Check the menu carefully though before you go.
The food and environment is pretty good, you can see the Central Park view from the window, but the service doesn’t feel like a 3 star place🙃. They forgot to ask us if we would like wine paring and just started sending food to the table. We had to ask them for the pairing after our first dish was almost done.
The waiter took away our drinks before we finish them. And one the final wine list menu they gave us, they got the wine name wrong.

I was not sure if that tip was included, and asked the waiter about the additional tip on the check, and the answer was really confusing. I ended up giving extra 20% tip and learned that it’s not necessary.
