Restaurant 20 Victoria

Restaurant 20 Victoria has taken the seat at the top of my list for the best restaurants in Toronto. With a seafood heavy menu, they blended flavors that wowed me plate after plate. Everything was seasoned to perfection and the wine pairing added elevated notes to my dining experience.
I highly recommend Restaurant 20 Victoria to anyone who’s looking for the perfect meal. The atmosphere is intimate and the service is excellent. They serve the perfect amount of food where you question whether you can eat your dessert, but after one taste you clear the plate. You will not leave hungry.

They forgot to give us 1 course. We had the 4 course tasting menu and unfortunately, they forgot to give us the course with the cheese and crackers. The restaurant is quite small and we had to book a reservation ahead of time, so I was surprised that they forgot us.

That aside, service wasn’t bad per se. The waiter who was managing our table was very kind and nice. However, we saw that other tables had a chef visit them to check in on quality and taste. I’m not sure if they were special guests of honour but the inconsistency in the service was quite obvious.

The menu is very creative and I like how they rotate once in a while. It’s clear the chefs here are very talented but I wish that the service was a bit better, especially for a restaurant with a Michelin star.

I always appreciate the opportunity to watch the food preparation – sitting next to the kitchen and seeing the hands that put a dish together is like watching an artist.

Food was farm to table – fresh and delicious. Service was attentive – chef even came by to chat.

If you haven’t tried young-not-over-ripened green peas before – you have to! Flavour and texture are completely different and so much better!

Victoria 20 proved to be an exceptional setting for creating stunning visual memories. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to capture more unforgettable moments in this extraordinary space.

I’ll start off by saying great service from the wait staff. They get a round of applause. There’s also a non-alcoholic pairing, and as someone who gets non-alc pairings a lot, this was unique and more than just simply giving me various forms of juice. Some of the options were almost identical to the wine they were trying to mimic. 2 dishes stood out in my seating which was the Chilean sea bass and chestnut and cabbage salad. Overall I enjoyed the entire meal.
