What do Rúibín Bar & Restaurant visitors reviews this place?
I absolutely adore Rúibín, one of my top picks for food in Galway. Personally I prefer the small plates at the bar but the restaurant is wonderful for a special occasion. Atmosphere is fantastic, very relaxed, and I wish every restaurant and bar had staff like Rúibín. They are all so knowledgeable, warm and friendly. It is such a delight to eat here. On our most recent visit, we ordered practically the whole menu in the bar and everything was absolutely phenomenal. Even the bread basket! Still dreaming about it a few weeks later! The fried chicken is not to be missed but honestly everything is worth trying, you most definitely will not be disappointed.
You guys probably think I’m easily impressed or something but I swear I’m a harsh critic I just keep walking into life changing establishments. This meal has me at a loss for words. My dad made sure the chef was informed that this was the best meal he’s had in his humble 61 years. Our waitress was a wholesome godsend and gave us like 40 fire galway must-do recommendations. The chef here is not just a chef but rather an artist, a creator, a nurturer, and a philanthropist. Every bite of food felt like a forehead kiss. I’m not gonna tell you what to order just follow your heart and prepare to be mind blown
Everything was fantastic. We came for lunch on a Saturday – we booked ahead. We got the fried chicken with kimchi, the sea bass in broth, the treacle tart, pistachio madeleines, and 4 cocktails (2 were non-alcoholic). Cost €100 without the tip. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious – I can’t fault anything. I will be visiting again.
This is one of those menus where you find it hard to imagine exactly how this might taste, and when you take that first bite, your mouth is amazed and delighted. The food was incredible! Our waiter suggested the braised leaks filled with bulgur & goat cheese with some sort of tomato coulis. Hmm, ok, we’ll try it….it was Amazing!! OMG.
As was the fish. Oh, and the appetizers.
You must make reservations to eat upstairs.
Go – treat yourself.

Excellent and delicious. Best meal during our Ireland trip. The sole was fantastic. The cabbage roll, croquette and oysters outstanding. Go.
