02/28/2024: Popped in on a rainy day for a late lunch. Nice neighborhood pub. Service was prompt and nice. There were only about 5 people dining so it was pretty quiet. I love going to lunch after the rush and before dinner service.
The two of us ordered a beer, pineapple cider, wedge salad, bacon cheeseburger and fried chicken sandwich. Honestly everything looked really good! Lunch was very satisfying. Really good french fries: shoestring! Large wedge salad and very fresh. Burger and chicken sandwich was as expected. Looking forward to going back especially for brunch!
Chilly…ok, cold, day! We sat at the bar to eat and it was like sitting by a fireplace! Perfect! Plus, we could see all the dishes being prepared before ordering. First up, made from scratch donuts rolled all round in sugar. Man, that hit the spot-several times! Went with biscuits and gravy-great biscuits, soft inside with a bit of resistance on the outside, gravy was a bit strong on the sausage but good gravy base. Also the chicken fried steak, yes, yes, yes. Friendly staff, lots of smiles but not overdone. Check ‘em out. Can’t wait to get the humongous pretzel with pimento cheese
Today I ordered fish and chips online it says it’s 16.00$ Google states on there menu online I might add lol. Go in to pay for my order and it’s 22$ so I checked price again he stated they don’t choose what goes on Google lol. Like their menu online is from someone else just quoting there prices. Then I get my food and the fries are hard. The fish is cooked well but has no flavor. Add salt PLEASE! Tastes JUST LIKE OIL. I’m sorry to say that I am extremely disappointed for my first visit and will not be going back.
We stopped my this little cute neighborhood for lunch. The waitress recommended their famous fried chicken waffle so we went ahead with her suggestion and also ordered a side of fries. Fried chicken was delicious and juicy. Gravy flavor was a bit light but great combination with the chicken. The service was great. We were happy to have our lunch here before we head back.
Such a cute place with great staff. Unfortunately, arrived at noon and food was served cold and flavorless! The menu did not match the images attached to other reviews. Left hungry with a full plat of food remaining. 60.00 wasted.
