Dined at Sunda for the first but certainly not the last time. Great for our group of 9 with its Japanese and Filipino dishes (see pics)
Our server did a great job explaining the menu and letting us know if we had order sufficient amount for our table. Kamayan Feast was delicious and would certainly recommend. Chef came out and explained the meal and thanked us for ordering it that evening. The Gambler was a fun spin on sushi, 1 of the 6 pieces has ghost chili flake and if you get that one they can give you a free shot of milk to wash the pain away. Also comes with a poker chip good for a free chefs choice dessert on your next visit. Enjoyed the Smoke Show sushi. Pork belly and fried chicken steamed buns are a must. Drinks were refreshing.

Really cool interior and friendly staff. Unfortunately the food was a little disappointing for the price.
The wagyu tasted like a mushy meatball and had a strong lamb taste.
The “tiger shrimp” tempura was these tiny little shrimp… still tasted good though!
The crispy hamachi was quite good.
The salmon was nice; I enjoyed the crispy sear.

We went for happy hour while in Chicago. The happy hour prices were great and the food was excellent. Actual menu prices were quite high, but I guess that’s the price you pay for a nice sushi place in river north. Would definitely come back for happy hour!
Dinner in this restaurant, reading the reviews I was expecting little bit better.
The food was good but not something super ..
Prices are too high ..
I like that there are so many different dishes and all interesting
The quality is good … but not for 5 stars .
Service was super good

Sunda was overall a good Asian fusion restaurant. Surprisingly the items that we absolutely loved was the Brussels sprout salad. The rest of the meal was good but not exceptional.
