Ten Foot Henry

Despite my initial attempt to order some of the meat related items on the menu everyone seemed to be getting the vegan/vegetarian items and this is what the place is known for so I participated.

The service was amazing, our server was very friendly and gave us recommendations for every item.

The atmosphere was very green and felt like a modern restaurant mixed with a forest with everything being wood based and vines hanging from the walls and ceiling.

Again I was very skeptical ordering the vegan/vegetarian dishes but I was proven wrong as every dish we ordered was incredible and had amazing flavour brought out by the ingredients. The Henry Salad had crisp salad and mushrooms which added flavour and crunch to the bites as well as a dressing which added incredible flavour. The roasted cauliflower was my favourite dish as the cauliflower was fresh and the dressing elevated the dish to put this as my favourite vegan dish that I’ve tried. Finally the potatoes which were some of the best I’ve ever had, they were cooked perfectly and crisp to the bite as well as seasonings and cream on top that made it perfect.

There’s so much I can describe so I would recommend trying it for yourself.

Overall, lovely gem for the City of Calgary. Came here for lunch recently but I have dined here on numerous occasions in the past.

House staff are extremely pleasant and waiters are very attentive to your needs. Although there are no standout dishes, the menu has a good variety of items that are simple and very tasty. I think it’s a good place to take friends and family as there is likely going to be something for everyone.

The space is a bit tight and so it can get quite loud where the dining room fills up. The concept of the open kitchen is nice but the food smell permeates the entire space.

I dined here last week and it was a fun experience.
The service was amazing and loved the explanation of the dishes we got, and everyone was so welcoming.
The food was average and nothing stood out as incredible, I thought maybe the staff was busy with the resturaunt being crowded however the kitchen staff were standing around so I assumed that is just how the food is suppose to be. Overall a good night out, just not mind blowing.

Great service, atmosphere and food.

Every dish was good. Nicely portioned. Friendly and delicate staff.

Cauliflower was great. Roasted tomatoes were food after we mixed with the cheese.

Prawns and scallops were a bit overcooked.

Charred cabbage was great. Great sauce, flavour and texture. This was the bomb.

Huge shoutout to Roland who served me and my boyfriend today as we dined here for the first time! He was so funny, personable, and lovely (and I heard that same attitude across every table he was serving). The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere of the restaurant is so nice.
