About this restaurants :
First time eating here, the staff were brilliant very welcoming and friendly. Service was fast no waiting for drinks or food. Food was delicious my husband and I had a crispy chicken starter was very tasty. Then I had the fish and chips, fish was fresh and chips were yum. Husband had pie and chips he said the meat was tender and really flavourful gravy crispy pastry and again chips were yum. No room for dessert as great sized portions. Plenty of choice of drinks and no waiting for drinks, even tho it was busy staff were very attentive making sure they asked if we needed anything. Toilets were clean. Would definitely go back and would recommend a visit.
Been here 3 times and still love it. Our favourites are prawns, Brussels salad, and sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream. Didn’t know that brussels sprouts can taste this good. We also had a festive platter as we went close to Christmas.
That Shetland mussels was a must have. The flavor was just insanely good. Good portion size too!
The steak sandwich was fantastic too!
That Burger though was slightly on the dry side unfortunately. The chips were cut in special shape to enhance taste and well cooked.
Great friendly service! Will definitely come back again!
Visited The Citizen for a belated Christmas work meal and it did not disappoint!
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I went for the Korean Crispy Chicken starter – absolutely delicious, full of flavour!
I had the Harissa Lamb Shank for main and so glad I did! The lamb fell off the bone, there was so much meat! The truffle mash was delicious and the honey roast carrots & crispy onions tasted delicious!
Enjoyed the meal so much, I went for a dessert, the chocolate and baileys cheesecake. Delicious end to a lovely meal!
Would definitely be back and would recommend.

The place is beautiful and the food is nice, but the prices are crazy. £30 for a little starter and a steak pie (with no veggies on the side), and no drink! Service charge should not be added given the prices. Overall the food was nice, but not worth the price tag.
