What do The Devil’s Advocate visitors reviews this place?
Service was welcoming and friendly. They have a huge whiskey selection and wines as well.
The food was incredible! We started with a small smoked fish sharing platter and the soup of the day. The soup was packed with flavour! My main was their beef burger, and although I’m not a big fan of beef, this burger tasted amazing! The beef patty was juicy, and the fries were nice and crispy. My partner really enjoyed the fish and chips. The fish was delicious, sauce was tasty, and the chips were so crispy.
I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back on my next visit to Edinburgh!
Good drinks, knowledgeable staff, and fantastic food.
Gave an incredible first impression for Haggis!
Undeniably on the pricier side but so damn worth it!
Upon entry, what was intended to be a brief visit quickly unfolded into an evening of indulgence. Our initial plan to savor just one cocktail each was swept away by the enchanting menu of scotch-based concoctions. We found ourselves embarking on a flavorful journey, sampling around five cocktails each, in a bid to crown our favorite. The selection was not just vast but captivating, offering a deep dive into Scotland’s famed spirit.
While the ambiance beckoned us to linger longer, the seating arrangement at a high-top table, perched on stools, made the prospect of dining less appealing due to the lack of comfort for extended periods. This minor inconvenience, however, did not dim the glow of our overall experience.
A highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the staff, whose warmth and professionalism shone brightly. They navigated our adventurous sampling with expertise and enthusiasm, ensuring each cocktail recommendation was a hit and contributing significantly to our memorable night.
Although we did not explore the food menu, our experience at Devil’s Advocate was nothing short of spectacular, defined by exceptional drinks, exemplary service, and the thrill of discovering a hidden treasure in the heart of Edinburgh. It’s a must-visit for cocktail enthusiasts and those in search of a special night out.
