About this restaurants :
This was my second time dining in… the food, the atmosphere, the service, and all is impeccable. The owners actually treat you with the utmost respect by showing great southern hospitality. They actually feel like “family”. I recommend this to be the first stop for anyone traveling to the city of Memphis! And if you want to get to know some Black American history as well and local history; just know that you’re in the right spot of town… The “Heartbeat” of Memphis; The Four Way!
Tl;dr- food and service were great; greens were meh
So delicious! The greens weren’t as good as the rest of my meal, but I will definitely be back to try other sides. The fish was hot and crispy and the cornbread was soft and slightly sweet. Prices were reasonable as well as the service. Food came out quickly and I was checked on regularly during my meal.
I appreciated that the VIP wasn’t overly sweetened.
Too bad they don’t ship to other states. I’ll miss it when I head home.
This place was so amazing, it is as real as it gets for southern food. We came from Canada and wanted something outside of the regular downtown fair.

We had liver and onions(stunning) , chicken friend steak , cornmeal dressing(wife’s fav) , beans and beautiful picked tomatoes.

OMG. I been waiting to get here for the last 6 months and finally got here on yesterday. Everything was excellent. It wasn’t crowded. Customer Service was great, and Didn’t have to wait long. Keep up the great work
Our first stop in Memphis (with our luggage in tow) was The Four Way for soul food. I would argue this should be everyone’s first stop as this was some of the best catfish I’ve ever tasted. Josh and I both said we’ll come back from Atlanta just for that fish. We tried both the baked and fried – fried hands down is the way to go but the baked was absolutely delicious too. The restaurant has a diner feel and like you’re sitting among old friends. The staff were all very friendly and again yall the food was very, very good. 10/10 recommend!
