About this restaurants :
This is no doubt a beautiful restaurant and the service is good enough. I’ve been twice and the first time the food was ok – nothing special at all but still nice. The second time it was pretty awful. I ordered eggs Benedict and instead of a nice poached egg with a runny yolk I got a hard boiled egg. 😢. If a chef can’t cook an egg properly they have problems ….
Not sure if was because it was the week between Christmas and New Year, but the food wasn’t anywhere near as good as our last visit.
The prawn and lobster cocktail was lacking in any flavour, with the prawn tasting like they had just been defrosted. The chicken was over cooked and very dry. Finally the profiteroles tasted stale.
Bad on this visit, I don’t think I’d return.
💀FOOD 2/10💀 I dont know why ppl bang on about this chain. Great decor. Great foodpresentation. Poor food quality.Overpriced.
🙂SERVICE 8/10
💀TOILETS 💀 you what they say establishments with unkept unsanitary toilets, the food aint gonna be clean nor quality.

I got the eggs benedict – and the muffins were stale, with no life in them. Not toasted. Nothing.
The haggis bon bons, were a waste sadly. Not much flavour in them. Pretty sure the “fresh juice” is from a bottle, too.
I think the only thing i enjoyed was my tea.
What a beautiful restaurant sends you back to the early 39-40’s .staff are immaculately dressed and so polite and informative about food and wines .we had set 2 course menu with a lovely bottle of white .I had salmon with dark seeded pumpernickel bread and shepards pie for main .Well done everyone
I had a fantastic meal in the Ivy recently. The food was well prepared and looked really appetising. The service is first class. As it was my wife’s birthday, they gave her a complimentary desert with a happy birthday message.
