Lunch recommended by the staff at Athenry Castle. Food in Ireland never disappoint. The cakes were good, not too sweet.
I see a lot of people ordering tea which they make out of loose tea.
It’s quite a small place and the place was quite full for a weekday lunch. I feel a lot of locals come here.
We visited the cafe on Monday morning attached to the lodge for a bite to eat & a coffee, not the actual restaurant as we had our dog with us. Staff were so friendly & all of the locals were lovely as well. Got ourselves a couple of lattes & my wife had the ham & cheese panini and I had the goats cheese panini. They were really delicious and the coffee was excellent. It was very busy with customers constantly coming in and out but the two girls working there were fantastic. Refreshing to see such great service it has to be said! 5 stars from me!
My first time and was blown away! Best Irish breakfast on the island! All the other food looked amazing as well. We stayed at the accommodations for 3 nights, cozy room, huge bathroom and simply a lovely town with amazing people! Will be recommending to all travelling to Ireland
This place offered up fantastic food with a very friendly server and staff, and we also got a lovely cup of coffee across the street. Their gluten-free burger option was served with thick, delicious bread, and their dessert selection and presentation was excellent. Would go back for sure. Only problem is I live in 🇨🇦.

One visit was enough to confirm that this place was worth coming back to.
We have only tried a few things from the menu so far but everything was very tasty indeed.
The fish and chips were very nice, huge portions,
The Big Bacon Burger was super nice so I’ve had that twice.
The deserts were fab.
We shall be going again soon to try something different.
