The Peninsula Bar and Restaurant

Had a great lunch at The Pen today. All 4 meals were very good, tasty and fresh. I had the Reuben sandwich. Excellent service from the wee Scottish girl Rachael, she is very welcoming and friendly, thank you.

When to the Pen for a night away with the wife and had an absolutely fantastic meal and time together.
Service was very helpful and prompt and professional. Not something you often experience in Perth these days.
Atmosphere had a good vibe to it on a Friday night.

Food was superb. All of it.

Garlic bread and chips. Very good.

The main we had was a seafood platter and it was excellent. Octopus which we usually do not like had us going back for more. Prawns fantastic. The bug/crab was only thing that didn’t tick all the boxes.

For sweets I had Sticky Date Pudding. Excellent and with lots or sauce. Thank you! Wife had the sorbet and was happy with that.

In Mandurah we usually stay at the Sebal so next time we are down we will definitely be coming in again for another excellent meal.

I went on a Wednesday evening, so it was not busy at all. The gentleman who greeted me (Bob), was lovely. His service all evening was fantastic, not being pushy at all, but not leaving me waiting.
Waterside view was great & the food was amazing. I had Oysters, Scallops, Burrata & the Coffee Brulee….I don’t normally have dessert, but I highly recommend trying this out!!
Although I was a sole diner, all of these dishes would be ideal to share also. Perfect for date night!
My first experience here was less than ideal, due to a misunderstanding with seating. The manager reached out to me and invited me back for dinner on the house.
Upon my return I chose not to tell the staff this until I was leaving so that I would be treated no different. So I can honestly say that my review is one that any customer would experience.

We had a lovely lunch at Peninsula with my family. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the river and casual vibe. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and fresh. We ordered the vegan platter, chips, pumpkin hummus and pizza.

A nice spot for a day trip to Mandurah, right by the water. Service was quick as it’s a week day, serving staff was efficient but a tad cold.

Skinny long Mac and mocca were decent.

BBQ beef brisket burger – beef was nicely tender, chipotle mayo fabulous, brioche bun was perfectly toasted. Overall a great burger and highly recommended.

Paprika dusted squid – the spiced Chipotle mayo goes well with the squid and the side of rocket leaves. Good dish.

The Pen is definitely on our short list for future visits to Mandurah.
