What do The Quicken Tree visitors reviews this place?
The staff was very lovely and welcoming, the decor was beautiful and they gave us a little booth for our lunch.
The menu wasn’t really long which I liked. I ordered the arancini with hummus for starter and Battered fish and chips for mains. I must say I wasn’t disappointed at all. Both of the dishes tasted absolutely delicious and the food tasted very fresh. We also had the 2 for 1 offer on the fish and chips.
Julie who was one of the staff members , she was really sweet. She made some minor adjustments with our food which was very kind of her. The staff also surprised us with a cute dessert and sang a song for my partner. This act was heart touching as it was unexpected.
They made our lunch really special. I will definitely be back and I will definitely recommend it, if you enjoy good food with excellent service!!!
Over 300 people all sat down at tables dressed for the celebratory meal charged at £70 per head.
What looked great was let down by the chaotic service and poor quality food.
The diners were only out done in their look of boredom as we wanted an hour between starter and main course by the serving staff who looked totally disconsolate trying to serve so many people without proper plan or support.
I felt sorry for them, having given up their Christmas Day, to have work in such a badly organised service.
The food, I had the veggie option, was over cooked and massively over seasoned.
I didn’t know it was possible to lace a carrot with so much salt.
As for the sprouts, and I like sprouts, they were black.
The kids option, sausage and mash, the sausages were cool and pink in the middle. The kids were advised not to eat them.
We would have mentioned it all at the time but the poor staff already had endured enough. Pudding, I can’t comment on, after being at the venue for three hours, we gave it a miss and came home.
Shame. It could have and should have been a whole lot better.
