The Villager Bar & Restaurant

I don’t know what’s with Westmeath, but they must have an abundance of food. Great place for a zombie apocalypse if it ever comes to it. Again, the portion sizes are nice and chonky and the food is great too. We may or may not have had to cancel twice on them before this due to unforeseen circumstances. Hope they ain’t mad about that.

We are from London and were on our mini-moon staying nearby and i was reccomended this restaurant by my cousin who lives locally and wow it did not dissapoint! The food was some of the best food we have ever had – we didn’t want it to end. I got the most amazing starter (we were told after it was first day of a new menu) and we both opted for steaks..unfortunately we couldn’t fit in dessert! Lovley atmosphere and loved the background music, staff very friendly too. Also very reasonably priced for decent size portions. Can’t wait to come back next time we are over!

Food was excellent, but what really makes this special are people working there. All my 5 children didn’t stop talking on the way home how nice everyone working there were. And that’s very rare to hear it from children. So thank you very much for making every customer feel special!

Had a light bite to eat in the garden area this evening. The place is spotless and well decorated. Food was delicious. The waitress who served me, I think her name was Caolan was so polite and friendly and great at her job. I’ll definitely be back.

Beautiful food!! , friendly and very helpful staff, the restaurant has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and makes you want to come back for more..I never leave this restaurant disappointed 👌!!
