One of the best meals I’ve ever eaten!
The flavour combination in each of the courses was excellent.
The scallop starter, shiitake main and chocolate/mint dessert.
Also, great value for money for such a high end experience.

Thyme is Athlone’s best known secret, all tables were fully booked and there was a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The food was beautifully presented. The menu represented modern Irish cuisine, celebrating Irish ingredients. The wine list was vast, interesting, and well priced.

We found that we were rushed into ordering quite quickly upon arrival. We booked a 20h30 table and understood that orders needed to be in before 21h but were approached by staff three times before we were ready.
Perhaps if each month’s menu was available online to view in advance (rather than a sample menu) we’d have been able to order faster and not felt quite as under pressure. Despite this, it was an excellent meal overall.
Incredible! The staff was exceptional, providing top-notch service throughout the meal. The food was absolutely delicious, and I must say, the deer and scallops were nothing short of mouthwatering. A five-star dining experience!
I visited the time restaurant this evening. It’s fine dining. For anyone who wants selective dining, I would say it’s definitely worth it. Unfortunately, I am a very plain eater, so that means I can only have plain chicken. I tried to eat the chicken that was on the menu, but it’s not for me . The food was not wasted. The people that I was with enjoyed it. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Would I go back again, I have to say no , but it’s because of my dietary requirements. Please don’t let my choices be a little off-putting. Definitely go, and I hope you have a fantastic and excellent time . Well done to all the staff who took their time and effort to make us comfortable and welcoming. Enjoy your time there.
Hands down the best food I have ever tasted! We opted for the €60 menu and it was unreal, everything tasted amazing and looked stunning – need this restaurant in Limerick!
