As a Spanish person I’m quite picky with food and I have to say that We had an Amazing experience! We will definitely come back. Food was just delicious. The flavours in every dish were incredible. We were celebrating a birthday and they made our experience unique. I would 100% recommend WEST restaurant in the twelve.
The West Restaurant at The Twelve Hotel has won many awards over the years. On a recent visit, I was really impressed by how modern and current the food was, which was made using a wide range of local and Irish ingredients. For every course, the server would take great care to introduce the dish. Gorgeous Dooncastle Oysters, Furbo strawberries etc.
Service was excellent, and the wine service is superb. If you’re feeling fancy, see if you can get sommelier Fergal to sabre a bottle of bubbles for you. Only downside I’d have is that the decor feels a teeny bit dated, but the food & service is spot on.
Had an incredible meal at West to celebrate a birthday. The service and food were exceptional. And above that, the staff have clearly put a lot of effort into making this more of an experience than just a meal. Lots of dishes, tasters and plenty of theatre to go along with it. Thought it was exceptional value for the quality of the meal. I also stayed in Twelve which I would highly recommend. If looking for a break and a meal than I couldn’t recommend West highly enough.
A truly great culinary surprise! One of the 3 best meals we’ve had in Ireland. A true gourmet treat! We also had the 5 meal menu and it was plenty. Well done!! We’re visitors from Seattle, WA USA. Oh, and check out this great chandelier cover!
Cozy, romantic, and out of this world delicious! Trust the chef & let their sommelier select your wine, and the experience will be a delectable culinary journey, it was a feast for the soul from the first bite to the last!
